ATTORNEY VISITS

In Person Visits
Attorneys must call 24 hours prior to schedule an appointment. We have limited room for attorney visits so it is crucial you call ahead to make an appointment. If you show up without an appointment, we will make every possible effort to get you in but it may be after regular schedule hours.

General hours for Attorney visitation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm except holidays. Visitations after hours or on weekends are available by request and appointment only.

Please make sure you are on time for your appointment, as we stay booked up and when your time is up we will have to ask you to leave to accommodate the next appointment. Please do not overbook, only schedule the amount of time you will use.

All appointments are set up in 30-minute intervals by default with a maximum time limit of 2 hours. Please inform us if you are going to need more than 30 minutes for your appointment.

All attorney’s must present their valid state issued ID and their state bar card. If you are a legal assistant or someone representing a law firm, you must have a printed letter, on letterhead, from the attorney stating your representation of that law firm/attorney.

Please adhere to Burnet County Jail’s dress code policy.

No cell phones are allowed into the facility. Laptops are allowed for discovery. Please let us know when you will need to present discovery so that we can have the inmate bring their earbuds.

Bond appointments, please pre-fill all forms in an effort to limit the amount of time of the visit.

Other Options for Attorney Visits are:
Zoom Meetings
To schedule a Zoom meeting, we will need advance notice (24 hours) to confirm there are no other conflicts. Burnet Court times are scheduled first and then all other meetings are scheduled around those times. Zoom requests and invitations/links need to be sent to the following email addresses to ensure that someone can access the link or respond to the requests.
