Visitation Rules


As a precaution in response to the COVID-19 virus, in-person visitation has been cancelled by the direction of the Texas Commission on Jail Standards effective March 13, 2020. This will remain in effect until lifted by the Office of the Governor.

Please arrive 1/2 hour early and present your valid government issued ID, preferable your drivers license.

We will stop collecting ID’s 15 minutes before the scheduled visitation time.

Adhere to the dress code.

Anyone that arrives late or does not have a picture ID will not be allowed to visit.

Only 2 adult visitors are allowed to visit per visitation time. Their is not a limit on children. However, you must be able to maintain control of them as there are other visitors.

No visitors will be allowed to visit that have been incarcerated in the Burnet County Jail within the last 6 months. NO EXCEPTIONS. Inmates will have to wait 6 months from their release date to be able to be put on a visitation list.
