Visitation Rules


For the safety of the staff and the inmates of the Burnet County Jail and to lessen the possibility of the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Burnet County Jail will provide inmates with the ability to complete two 15 minute video visits per week at no cost for 60 days.

Inmates must not be in precautionary isolation and cleared by medical staff prior to being approved for onsite visits.

Please arrive 1/2 hour early and present your valid government issued ID, preferably your drivers license.

We will stop collecting ID’s 15 minutes before the scheduled visitation time.

Adhere to the dress code.

Anyone that arrives late or does not have a picture ID will not be allowed to visit.

Only 2 visitors are allowed to visit per visitation time, including children.

Only one visit per inmate per week will be allowed.

No visitors will be allowed to visit that have been incarcerated in the Burnet County Jail within the last 6 months. NO EXCEPTIONS. Inmates will have to wait 6 months from their release date to be able to be put on a visitation list.
